Retired Senior Sled Dogs

Of the many dogs who pass through our Sanctuary we have found a few who needed more than just the time to heal. Some bond with us so deeply that we find it is in their best interest to stay with us and live out the rest of their lives at the Sanctuary.

Their stories are all different, their needs never the same but they all shared the same desire of finding a safe place to call home.

Many of these senior sled dog residents help us rehabilitate our fosters in ways we humans cannot.

They not only speak the same language but are able to connect with those in need often having come from similar, if not the same, situations themselves.

Who better to have a heart to heart connection with our rescues who also come from a broken past to speak to share the message of hope they have found within the Sanctuary?

These permanent helpers allow our new rescues to settle into daily life with ease making the transition from the kennel to the trail working side by side as they prepare for adoption into their new forever homes.
