Mission Statement
The Sled Dog Sanctuary was created to provide a haven for abused sled dogs recovering from a past life of illness, trauma or neglect.
We provide each dog with the opportunity to trust, heal and start a new life as they are guided through multiple strength building opportunities, inside the kennel and out, allowing each dog to reach their highest potential.
Through our work with sled dogs we are proud to give back to our community by teaching others about our state sport (dog mushing), the need for animal rescue and facilitating adoptions through a compatible match of a sled dog's personality with those of their adopters.
