The Sled Dog Sanctuary is registered as a 501c3 non-profit organization

Monetary Donations

Many of our needs range from the simple to the complex. Due to this variety we strive to make the giving process as simple as possible by accepting donations on-line through Paypal and through standard mail.

Through Paypal our donors can give
as little or as much as they like in a
one time payment. Or if you would like to help a Sanctuary dog succeed all year long Paypal also has a donation option that will automatically schedule your payment to take place every month.

No donation is ever too small... our dogs will love you even if you have nothing to send. Generous, loving thoughts to their health and well-being are accepted as well! :)

Our Greatest Need...

Our greatest need will always be a consistent supply of dog food. Due to the high energy of our active sled dogs we have a specific protein to fat ratio we depend on in our dogs diet to support their minds and bodies when working out on the trail.

We would love to receive all types of dog food but since our sled dogs stomachs are sensitive to nutritional changes, especially during the working season, our needs tend to stay with one brand while supplementing their diet with rich red meat at the peak of their training.

Currently we have found a solid source of nutrition in Caribou Creek dog food (Gold and Silver depending on the season). We purchase this locally at Cold Spot Feeds in Fairbanks.









The source of our rich meat protein and fat comes from the generous donators at the Home Grown Market in Fairbanks.

Monthly Newsletter

Another way you can help is by becoming a member of the Sled Dog Sanctuary and receive our monthly newsletter.

By donating $35.00 or more per month you not only help us purchase one bag of dog food (to feed one Sanctuary dog for a full month), we will also send you a newsletter with facts and updates on the latest Sled Dog Sanctuary news!

    Each month you will also             receive treats from our                 sponsors like coupons or             other unique Alaskan items,         its always a  surprise when         our newsletters come in
    the mail! 

    With your monthly donation         we will also feature your             individual name on the                 sponsor list at our home page.

 

Corporate Sponsorship

We also welcome corporate sponsorship in the form of donated goods such as fencing, plane tickets (to help get our foster dogs to their new homes), building materials, etc...

If you would like to help the Sanctuary by donating items from your business we will gladly put your logo on our home page and advertise your generous donations in our monthly newsletters.

Volunteering

At this time we are not accepting any new volunteers at the Sanctuary but
we will have new positions opening
up at a later date.

Working with our dogs is a very unique opportunity with time in the dog yard and on the trail. If you are dedicated
to the task, and put in enough volunteer hours, you may walk away an accomplished musher!
